Phase II of Scar Protocol consists of a moisturizing scar cream that supports the healing structures of your scar. At this point, your scar should be somewhere between the first two stages of healing. This means that you may still experience some inflammation and pain, however your body has begun to visibly heal the wound. This is when you begin to see scar formation.
This phase focuses on moisture. Therefore, it is vital to our scar cream system because it starts when your body begins producing the scar. This phase commences for three months. During this stage of scarring, new skin and tissues are forming.
You may still experience some inflammation and you may notice some new tissue formation. However, when you start Phase II of Scar Protocol, your surgical incision will not yet be fully healed. Phase II helps provide an environment for the scar to support long lasting moisture.
You will begin the Phase II scar cream at the beginning of month two of Scar Protocol. When you start Phase II, scar tissue and skin should have healed over the wound. The moisturizing scar cream delivers hydration to the surface of the skin. Applying Phase II follows the same instructions as the Phase I ointment, ensuring that the cream fully covers the scar.
